Galaxy Ranking

Each galaxy will have its own ranking list.

What Determines Your Galaxy Rank?

Player Ranking in the galaxy list is determined by a few different things.
  • How many Buildings you own and how long you have held them. Every hour you get .1 point added to your score for each building level you own.
  • How many Space Palaces you own and how long you have held them. Every hour you get 20 points added to your score for each space palace you own.
  • How many Bounties you have collected or lost. Every player has an ever-growing bounty placed on their head as their empire expands. If you conquer a planet from them the amount of their bounty is added to your score and subtracted from theirs.
You don't gain any points until after your Secret Location has been revealed.
Whatever player has the highest score when the Galaxy Ends will be declared the winner and receive a Trophy.

- Score
This is the current total of a players points. Higher score equals higher rank. The ways of increasing your score are listed above.
- Points/Hour
This is the amount of points that your score will gain each hour. It is a tally of all the points produced by your buildings, and space palaces.
- Bounty
Every planet that a player conquers adds to their Bounty.
If you take a planet from this player, their bounty is the number of points that you will steal. Stealing points means that they will be subtracted from their score and added onto yours. This is an excellent way to catch up to someone in the ranks. You can also steal 500 points by destroying a players space palace.
- Bounty Profit
This is a total of all the bounties that you have collected (by conquering other players planets or destroying space palaces), minus all the bounties that you have lost (because other players conquered your planets and destroyed your space palaces).
- Tech Spent
This is the total of all the Research Hours that you have spent on Research throughout the game. Until the game is over you can only view your own tally. After the game is finished you will be able to see other player's as well.

6-Month Ranking

This is a ranking composite of all games played within the last 6 months. After each current galaxy is completed this list will be updated.

What Determines Your 6-Month Rank?

In each galaxy we give you a score: 1 + the number of players below you in rank in that galaxy.
So if I come in first place in a galaxy with 50 players, I will receive a score of 50. If I come in 5th place in a galaxy with 50 players then I will receive a score of 45.
Then we add your score for each galaxy you've played during the last 6-months together.
This is your 6-month rank score.

- Best Rank
This is the highest rank you have ranked in a galaxy within the last 6-month.

How To Increase Your 6-Month And Career Score

Because of the way we calculate our scores you should remember:

  • Playing in more galaxies is better. If you sit out a galaxy then you don't receive any points.
  • Doing consistently well is best. Our system rewards doing well all the time over doing extremely well once and bad the next. Frequently, the best players in our 6-month rank haven't achieved a first place trophy. But they are consistently high in the lists. Steady wins the race.
  • Doing well in a game with more players counts more. Getting a high rank in a game with 1000 players will help your score more than getting a high rank in a game with 50 players.
