Planet

Jump to: navigation, search

A Planet is a celestial body in orbit around a Star. Together with the star, they form a Star System. Planets form the basic units of your empire. With more planets, you can produce more Resources, build more Warships and Armies, and use that power to further expand your empire.

Of course, one of your enemies may save you the trouble and simply Conquer it.

Gaining And Losing Planets

Ranking In The Strange Universe

Your Ranking score in the Strange Universe is determined by how many Buildings you own and how long you have owned them. More buildings held for more time means a higher score. Buildings get more expensive as there are more on a planet. Also, planets eventually run out of room for more buildings unless you increase Terraforming or trade for Workers that are better suited for the planet type. Hold lots of planets with lots and lots of buildings. This is how you win.

How To Gain Planets

Controlling more planets requires the Government technology.
To gain more planets you can Invade another player.

How To Lose Planets

Because some planets are going to be better for your species you may end up owning planets that you want to get rid of. This can be done by Exchanging Planets with other players, or getting them conquered by another player or the AI.

Planetary Bonuses

Each planet type has unique characteristics which benefit or hinder the people living there.

Population Bonus

Depending on the habitability of the planet for your species, your maximum population may be high or low. Researching Terraforming technology can help a lot, especially with the planets which are most unfavorable for your species.
On the Planet Main Page you can see a smiley face that shows whether this Planet type is habitable for your Species or not.
Max Population Limit: smileys_bigsmile_30.png = 50 Workers

Note: Artificial Intelligence species all use Amoeboid workers. Amoeboids are best suited to any planet.

- Too Many Workers On A Planet

If the number of Workers on a planet exceeds the population limit then some Workers will be put into Cryo-Freeze. If you capture workers from a player of a different Species then they may have a higher or lower population limit on that planet. Capturing enemy workers or trading your workers with an ally's and placing them on a planet that is bad for your species is a great way to maximize your planets.

Resource Production Bonus

Each planet type has different advantages for Resource production. For maximum productivity, certain mines can be concentrated on the types of planets where production of that resource is fastest.
